ASEAN Exchanges Leaders Highlight Regional Market Opportunities at the 22nd CITIC CLSA Asean Forum 2026

BANGKOK, March 11, 2026 – Senior executives of ASEAN’s stock exchanges came together at the 22nd CITIC CLSA Asean Forum 2026 in Bangkok to discuss how the region can further strengthen its capital markets and attract global investment.

 

Joining the panel session entitled “Unlocking ASEAN’s Potential: SEA Exchange Leaders on Global Capital and Market Opportunities” were Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed, CEO of Bursa Malaysia; Ramon Monzon, President and CEO of Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE); Asadej Kongsiri, President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET); and Poltak Hotradero, Business Development Advisor of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

 

The discussion addressed free float considerations and ownership transparency, as well as initiatives by exchanges to enhance governance standards, market accessibility, and corporate disclosure. The panel highlighted ASEAN’s continued efforts to enhance market competitiveness, strengthen investor confidence, and position the region as an increasingly attractive destination for global capital.

 

In a separate session at the forum, Kum Kong Chan, Managing Director & Head of Capital Market Development of Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX), participated in a discussion entitled “Comprehensive Structural Reforms to Sustain Robust Liquidity Flywheel.”

 

The CITIC CLSA Asean Forum is an annual investor conference that convenes global institutional investors, corporate leaders, and policymakers to discuss economic trends, investment opportunities, and capital market developments across the ASEAN region.
