Jakarta – As part of a series of activities to praise the 47th Anniversary of the Indonesia Capital Market, the Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO), which consist of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Indonesia Clearing and Guarantee Corporation (KPEI), and the Indonesia Central Securities Depository (KSEI), held a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. This CSR activity was a form of the capital market’s commitment to contributing in the fields of infrastructure, health, and education. The inauguration of the CSR assistance, which included road construction, sanitation facilities, and educational support, was carried out in Aceh Tamiang Regency and Aceh Besar Regency on Thursday August 7th, in collaboration with the Yayasan Rumah Asuh for the distribution of the support.
At the symbolic handover of the assistance, Director of Infrastructure Development and Information Management at KSEI and Chairman of the 47th Capital Market Anniversary Committee Dharma Setyadi, handed over the road construction aid at Beurangong Mosque, Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar Regency, to Director of the Rumah Asuh Indonesia Foundation Asep Nugraha. Also present at the ceremony Assistant Director of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Aceh Province Harfinan Harlan, Director of Finance, Human Resources, and General Affairs of IDX Risa E. Rustam, Director of Information Technology and Business Support of KPEI , Umi Kulsum, Regent of Aceh Besar Muharram Idris and other invited guests.
In his speech, Dharma conveyed that road infrastructure plays a vital role in facilitating community activities. Adequate road infrastructure helps communities access public services, speeds up the distribution of goods, and enhances inter-regional connectivity. “Lamrabo Road is a strategic route that connects five villages: Deah, Beurangong, Cot Yang, Cucum, and Lamtring. With improved road infrastructure, residents can carry out their daily activities more efficiently, and inter-village access will become easier and smoother,” said Dharma.
In addition, the Indonesia Capital Market also symbolically provided support for the construction of new toilets and school equipment for 237 students of Junior High School 2 (SMPN 2) Kejuruan Muda, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh. The support was handed over by Dharma Setyadi to Asep Nugraha in Banda Aceh. The ceremony was also attended by Harfinan Harlan (OJK Aceh), Risa E. Rustam (IDX), Umi Kulsum (KPEI), and Saripah Nubaiti, the Principal of SMPN 2 Kejuruan Muda.
Dharma explained that according to recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO), the toilet facilities in schools still do not meet the ideal ratio if a school has only three usable toilets each for boys and girls, with very limited handwashing facilities. “Beyond the Healthy School program, the Indonesia Capital Market is also providing school supplies for orphaned and underprivileged students at SMPN 2 Kejuruan Muda, Aceh Tamiang. This support reflects our commitment to ensuring that students remain enthusiastic about pursuing education. We believe every child deserves the same opportunity to grow and achieving” said Dharma.
The series of 47th Capital Market Anniversary CSR activities, in collaboration with Rumah Asuh, is expected to create inclusive and impactful improvements in infrastructure, health, and education. These initiatives aim to serve as a sustainable step toward enhancing the quality of life for Indonesians, particularly in Aceh Besar and Aceh Tamiang Regencies.
The funds for these CSR initiatives were allocated to support environmental, educational, and health programs, as well as infrastructure development across various regions of Indonesia. These CSR activities express appreciation for the capital market’s achievements and its commitment to directly benefiting the public. The SRO will continue to conduct impactful CSR programs aligned with the government’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are national development priorities.
