Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Self-Regulatory Organizations (KPEI and KSEI), organized two strategic forums: “Synergy Discussion on Maintaining the Stability and Resilience of Indonesia’s Capital Market” and “Capital Market Insight: Share Buyback Regulations and Market Update” on Wednesday (17/6) in Jakarta. The first forum held in the morning, which focused on the progress of transparency reforms, was opened with a keynote address by OJK Deputy Commissioner for Issuer Supervision, Securities Transactions, Special Examinations, Derivative Financial Instruments, and Stock Exchanges, Khoirul Muttaqien. Presentations session were delivered by Henry Rialdi, Head of OJK’s Capital Market Regulation and Development Department; Jeffrey Hendrik, Acting President Director of IDX; Antonius Herman Azwar, Director of KPEI; and Samsul Hidayat, President Director of KSEI, before representatives of industry associations and market participants. The event marked an important milestone in communicating a structured reform agenda aimed at enhancing market transparency. Key initiatives include increasing the minimum free float requirement to 15%, improving disclosure of share ownership exceeding 1%, introducing High Shareholding Concentration (HSC) announcements, and maintaining global investor confidence amid market volatility.
Meanwhile, the Capital Market Insight forum held in the ofternoon for Listed Companies was opened by Kristian Sihar Manullang, IDX Director of Transaction Supervision and Compliance. The presentations session on market updates and performance of listed companies was delivered by Hasoloan Hutajulu as Senior Assistant Director, Department of Capital Market, Financial Derivatives, and Carbon Exchange Regulation and Development of OJK; Sri Sulastri as Senior Assistant Director, Department of Supervision of Issuers and Public Companies of OJK; as well as Heidy Ruswita Sari as Acting Head of IDX Research Division.
Amid ongoing global external pressures, IDX emphasized that the fundamentals of Indonesia’s capital market remain resilient. This is reflected in an average daily trading value of IDR 24.7 trillion as of 12 June 2026, a total capital market investor base exceeding 28.3 million investors, and 80% of listed companies reporting positive earnings in the first quarter of 2026.
Through this forum, IDX also encouraged listed companies to take advantage of the flexibility provided under share buyback regulations as an effective corporate strategy for capital management while enhancing long-term shareholder value.
