On Thursday (12/2), The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining stability and driving national capital market growth by participating as a strategic speaker at the Bloomberg Technoz Economic Outlook 2026. Held at the Financial Hall, Jakarta, the event carried the theme “Managing Transition, Capturing New Growth Opportunities”. Jeffrey Hendrik, Acting President Director of IDX, represented the Exchange to present an evaluation of 2025 policies and future strategic directions during the panel session titled “Resilience in Turbulence: Navigating Indonesia Financial Market”. IDX’s presence at this event is part of a continuous effort to maintain active communication with the public and strengthen synergy with various stakeholders.
In the forum, IDX highlighted the success of various market stabilization policies throughout 2025, including adjustments to trading halt levels and auto-rejection limits that effectively dampened volatility caused by global uncertainty. Driven by initiatives such as the launch of Stock Liquidity Providers and the implementation of the SPPA Repo system, the Indonesian capital market demonstrated remarkable resilience, with the JCI (IHSG) hitting a record high above the 8,000 level and the total number of investors surpassing 20 million by the end of 2025.
Looking ahead to 2026, IDX outlined an ambitious roadmap to become a Top 10 Global Exchange by 2030 through six main pillars, including democratized access and utilizing technology as a core business. As a concrete step to protect investors and mitigate speculative trading risks, IDX also socialized the “8 Actions for Accelerated Capital Market Integrity Reform”. This reform includes increasing the minimum free float standard to 15% and enhancing Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) transparency to ensure the Indonesian capital market remains transparent, credible, and globally competitive.
