On Tuesday (14/7), a Strategic Forum themed “National Carbon Market Readiness and Corporate Carbon Governance” was held at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Main Hall in Jakarta. Organized by the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD) in collaboration with the Indonesia Carbon Trade Association (IDCTA), the event aimed to build a shared understanding regarding carbon pricing implementation in Indonesia, enhance corporate readiness in facing carbon policies, and foster the development of high-quality climate projects to support the transition toward a low-carbon economy. The event commenced with Welcome Remarks delivered by the President of IBCSD, Sihol Aritonang.
During the event, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) participated in the forum through discussions concerning the development of the national carbon market ecosystem and the role of the Indonesia Carbon Exchange (IDXCarbon). The forum also brought together regulators, project developers, carbon trading operators, the financial services sector, investors, and business players to accelerate the formation of an active, transparent, and high-integrity carbon pricing ecosystem, while generating opportunities for collaboration and follow-up actions toward tangible project development, financing, and carbon transactions.
