On Monday (13/7), Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) celebrated its 34th anniversary through a simple ceremony at the IDX Main Hall, under the theme “Stronger. Credible. Growth.” The celebration was attended by the board of directors, the board of commissioners, former directors from various periods, and all IDX employees. The event was also attended by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), along with the boards of directors and commissioners of the SROs.
In his opening speech, the President Director of IDX, Jeffrey Hendrik, expressed deep gratitude for the long journey of the Indonesian capital market. He emphasized that the exchange’s development over the past 34 years has been a continuous relay journey, where every leadership period has consistently made crucial contributions to strengthening the foundation of the national financial industry.
In addition, the President Director of IDX for the 1996-1999 period, D. Cyril Noerhadi, also shared a deeply nostalgic message regarding the accelerated growth of the exchange from time to time.
The IDX 34th anniversary celebration continued with the Opening Bell Ceremony and a traditional tumpeng (cone-shaped rice) cutting session as a symbol of the exchange’s commitment to sustainable growth. The Chief Executive of Capital Market, Financial Derivative and Carbon Exchange Supervision of OJK, Hasan Fawzi, who delivered the keynote speech, also expressed his appreciation for the exchange’s achievements and noted the growth of the IDX workforce, which has now reached 627 employees.
The series of events concluded with a group photo session, the screening of congratulatory videos from various stakeholders and employees, and a gathering accompanied by a live band performance to strengthen synergy for a stronger and more credible future for the Indonesian capital market.
