Katadata Green and IDX Encourage ESG Strengthening in Indonesia Through Road to SAFE 2024 Event

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) continue to encourage the strengthening of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in Indonesia’s business sector, especially in the capital market. For this reason, OJK and IDX together with Katadata Green held a discussion entitled Strengthening ESG Implementation in Indonesia’s Business Sector held at the IDX Main Hall on Monday (22/7). This activity is a series of events towards Sustainability Action for the Future Economy (SAFE) 2024. The main focus of this event was to discuss OJK’s steps in encouraging public companies to adopt sustainability principles, as well as the IDX’s strategy in optimizing the development of green investment and carbon exchanges in the Indonesian capital market.

Also attending the discussion were IDX Utana Director Iman Rachman, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Market Supervision, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange and Member of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority Inarno Djajadi, KADIN Coordinator for Maritime, Investment and Foreign Affairs Shinta Kamdani, and Co-Founder, CEO of Katadata Metta Dharmasaputra.
