Opening Ceremony of Indonesia Stock Exchange Trading for the Year 2024

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) officially opened its trading session, inaugurated by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’ruf Amin. The Vice President conveyed that throughout the year 2023, Indonesia had successfully maintained robust economic growth and continued to pursue strategic national agendas.

“The fundraising and the increasing number of retail investors in the capital market, which now exceeds 12 million, indicate growing public participation. With the right strategies and policies, I believe the Indonesian capital market can work even brighter,” stated Ma’ruf Amin.

Furthermore, Ma’ruf Amin outlined several initiatives to advance the Indonesian capital market, including enhancing innovation and utilizing digital technology to provide services to investors, optimizing the development of financing potential through the capital market by increasing financial literacy among the public, and expanding networks while enhancing synergy among stakeholders.
