The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) staged a three-day STAR (Strengthening Access and Reach): Investor Day 1H2024online event featuring 13 publicly listed companies (PLCs) that apprised equity analysts, fund managers, and institutional and retail investors on mid-year earnings and corporate developments.
PSE STAR: Investor Day was co-presented by Bloomberg L.P., with the Fund Managers Association of the Philippines (FMAP) and Trust Officers Association of the Philippines (TOAP) as event partners.
PLCs that took part in the investor briefing from August 14 to 16, 2024 were ACEN CORPORATION (ACEN), AREIT, Inc. (AREIT), BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO), Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI), D.M. Wenceslao & Associates, Incorporated (DMW), East West Banking Corporation (EW), Global Ferronickel Holdings, Inc. (FNI), GT Capital Holdings, Inc. (GTCAP), MacroAsia Corporation (MAC), Megawide Construction Corporation (MWIDE), Philippine Business Bank (PBB), PLDT Inc. (TEL), and Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SCC).
“This edition had the highest registration of participants which speaks of the continuing and growing interest of institutional and retail investors, fund managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to hear directly from the top officers of the PLCs their respective companies’ latest quarterly earnings reports, discussion of operations and expansion plans,” said PSE President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon.
“From the start, we envisioned PSE STAR to be a win-win activity for the stakeholders involved. It was meant to help PLCs enhance their corporate governance standards by providing them with a platform where they can put into action good investor relations practice and enable them to reach new investors and analysts, while attendees get a better understanding of the company’s financials and initiatives,” Mr. Monzon explained.
Aside from the live presentations and question and answer segments with the featured PLCs, recorded first half company briefings by 15 listed firms that took part in previous PSE STAR editions were uploaded on the event website for on-demand viewing by attendees. These PLCs include Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., Aboitiz Power Corporation, Century Pacific Food, Inc., China Banking Corporation, Citicore Energy REIT Corp., Citicore Renewable Energy Corp., Concepcion Industrial Corporation, D&L Industries, Inc., DMCI Holdings, Inc., Manila Electric Company, Monde Nissin Corporation, Megaworld Corporation, MREIT, Inc., Philippine National Bank, and Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures, Inc.
