The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) capped its STAR (Strengthening Access and Reach): Investor Day series for 2024 with a two-day online event featuring 10 publicly listed companies (PLCs) held last November 19-20.
PLC executives presented their nine months financial results and corporate initiatives to fund managers, stock market analysts and investors. The companies bannered in the live briefings were Cebu Air, Inc. (CEB), China Banking Corporation (CBC), D&L Industries, Inc. (DNL), DigiPlus Interactive Corp.(PLUS), Filinvest REIT Corp. (FILRT), Italpinas Development Corp. (IDC), Megaworld Corporation (MEG), Philippine National Bank (PNB), Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. (RRHI), and Raslag Corp (ASLAG).
“It is good to note that the number of retail investors joining the past eight editions of this investor briefing continues to grow. I am pleased that they have become more involved in this investor relations activity, showing eagerness to know more about the participating PLCs,” said PSE President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon
“Our end goal here is to build effective and sustainable corporate governance practice among PLCs because ultimately, strong investor relations improve investor confidence, “Mr. Monzon added.
PSE STAR: Investor Day was co-presented by Bloomberg L.P., with the Fund Managers Association of the Philippines (FMAP) and Trust Officers Association of the Philippines (TOAP) as event partners.
Aside from the live presentations and question and answer segments with the featured PLCs, recorded company briefings by 14 listed firms that took part in previous PSE STAR editions were uploaded on the event website for on-demand. These PLCs include Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., Aboitiz Power Corporation, Balai Ni Frutas, Inc., Cebu Landmasters, Inc., Century Pacific Food, Inc., Citicore Energy REIT Corp., Citicore Renewable Energy Corp., DMCI Holdings, Inc., D.M.
