Companies enrolled in the Listing Engagement and Assistance Program (LEAP) of The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) attended the first LEAP Insights on October 10, 2023. LEAP Insights are sessions designed to give potential listing applicants a preview of what it entails to be a publicly listed company.
The inaugural LEAP Insights session was co-hosted by S&P Global and tackled sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting. It featured talks on sustainability disclosure trends in the region and how to start a company’s sustainability reporting journey. There was also a panel discussion on key sustainability reporting topics with PSE COO Atty. Roel A. Refran, S&P Global Sustainable1 Managing Director and Global Head of Product Ms. Sonia Kim and S&P Global Sustainable1 Senior Analyst for Sustainability Analytics Services Mr. Terence Teoh joining the panel moderated by S&P Global Sustainable1 Business Development Manager for Climate Risk Ms. Rohini Samtani.
In his message to LEAP participants, PSE President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon highlighted the relevance of sustainability in the capital market, more so as it has become one of the most, if not the most, compelling reasons why investors invest in companies at this time. “Through this LEAP Insights session, we hope to enhance the appreciation and underscore the importance of having sustainability at the core and adopting best practices in sustainability reporting early on. This way, necessary preparations can be made in this area during your pre-IPO phase.”
PSE LEAP is a free hand-holding service provided by the Exchange to companies exploring the prospects of IPO listing.
