Reflecting Market Dynamics: IDX Adjusts Evaluation Criteria for IDX30, LQ45, and IDX80 Indices

Jakarta – The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has introduced adjustments to the universe selection criteria for the IDX30, LQ45, and IDX80 indices, as outlined in Announcement No. Peng-00065/BEI.POP/04-2026 regarding the “Adjustment of Evaluation Criteria for IDX30, LQ45, and IDX80 Indices [INDEKS]” issued on Tuesday (21/4). These adjustments will take effect on May 4, 2026, to ensure the indices remain relevant and reflective of current capital market dynamics.

The scope of the adjustments include the introduction of additional criteria, namely a minimum free float requirement, trading day thresholds, and provisions related to stocks classified under High Shareholding Concentration (HSC). Other existing selection criteria remain unchanged.

With respect to free float requirements, constituents within the IDX80 universe must meet a minimum free float of 10% or comply with the latest provisions under IDX Regulation No. I-A and Circular Letter No. SE-00004/BEI/03-2026, whichever is higher. Furthermore, eligible stocks must demonstrate consistent trading activity, with no more than one non-trading day over the past six months, and must not be classified under HSC.

IDX remains committed to ensuring that index constituents are aligned with the objectives and characteristics of each index, enabling them to serve as reliable benchmarks for investors in making investment decisions. This update is also expected to support the development of index-based investment products, such as index mutual funds and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs).
