Published on 21/06/2025

Jakarta – As an effort to strengthen the literacy and inclusion of Islamic capital markets in Indonesia, the Sharia Investment Week (SIW) 2025 series of activities was again organized by PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) together with PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (KPEI) and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) as the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO), which was also supported by Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK). SIW 2025 is held for 3 (three) days starting Thursday, June 19, 2025 until Saturday, June 21, 2025 in a hybrid manner at the Main Hall of the IDX, Jakarta, and can be accessed through an integrated platform through siw.idx.co.id. SIW 2025 is the right momentum for sharia investors, both new and experienced, to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of sharia-based investments.

The theme of SIW 2025 is inspired by the famous movie and series, namely “The Pursuit of Blessed and Wealthy Life” with several other sub-themes namely “When Market Gives You Tangerines”, “The Star is Reborn”, and “The Hunger Gains”. As part of the “I am a Stock Investor” campaign, SIW 2025 is a routine event that has been held annually since 2019. With a different concept, SIW is again held in a hybrid manner and can still be watched and visited virtually by participants anywhere. Thus, all levels of society can actively participate in the SIW 2025 event.

The SIW 2025 series began with opening remarks by IDX Director Jeffrey Hendrik, then continued with remarks by the Chief Executive of the OJK Capital Market, Derivative Finance and Carbon Exchange Supervisor represented by the Head of the OJK Directorate of Capital Market Development and Islamic Capital Markets Evy Junita, and officially marked the opening of the SIW 2025 series.

IDX Director Jeffrey Hendrik said in his speech, to continue to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia, various strategies are needed such as sharia product innovation, expanding access, strengthening infrastructure, and increasing literacy that can reach the various needs of capital market investors, especially those based on sharia. “The growth of the Islamic capital market is also supported by literacy activities, one of which is through the SIW event which is the largest Islamic capital market event in Indonesia.” said Jeffrey.

SIW 2025 presents a variety of interesting activities, ranging from expo and virtual expo, entertainment, to 7 seminar sessions and talk shows that will feature 24 competent speakers and moderators from various backgrounds. The speakers include academics, inspirational investors, public figures, and Islamic capital market practitioners, including actor Nicholas Saputra, musician Raim Laode, and Ustaz Dennis Lim.

Overall at SIW 2025 there are 47 tenant booths, including offline booths that can be visited directly consisting of 16 booths of Sharia Online Trading System (AB-SOTS) Exchange Members as well as booths of IDX Mobile, SRO, SRO Subsidiaries, and OJK. Meanwhile, the SIW 2025 virtual expo is divided into 3 areas, namely the AB-SOTS area, the OJK, SRO, and other Institutions area, as well as the Sharia RDN Bank, Investment Manager, and Islamic Philanthropy Institutions area.

The organization of SIW 2025 is expected to encourage increased public literacy and inclusion in the Islamic capital market, as well as strengthen the image of the Indonesian Islamic capital market in the eyes of the public. Of course, the organization of SIW 2025 is a tangible manifestation of the commitment and enthusiasm of OJK, SRO, and all stakeholders to encourage the progress of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia.
