Institutional and retail investors, fund managers and equities analysts rallied behind PSE STAR (Strengthening Access and Reach): Investor Day 2023 to get the latest financial results, corporate strategy and outlook from featured publicly listed companies (PLCs) during the two-day virtual event.
Organized by The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE), the May edition of Investor Day 2023 featured nine listed firms that are PSEi constituents and members of select sectoral indices as well as one PLC that had its stock market debut less than a year ago.
In his welcome message, PSE President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon cited the low percentage of PLCs that hold analyst or investor briefings vis-à-vis the number of active listed firms and highlighted the need to do so. “For listed companies, active investor communication is the key to keep stakeholders updated on their financials, strategies, operations, even issues faced. By sharing this information, companies will remain top of mind among investors for being open, accessible, and fair to all investors.”
The event was co-presented by Bloomberg L.P., with the Fund Managers Association of the Philippines (FMAP) and Trust Officers Association of the Philippines (TOAP) as event partners.
